Wintergreen Resort – Wintergreen, Virginia
Likely a mountain resort in Virginia’s most diverse, it is in the 11,000 hectares of virgin forest in the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is located in central Virginia just 1 hour and 30 minutes from Richmond, Virginia, and about three hours from Washington, DC, and North Carolina. Rising to a height of 3515 feet, Wintergreen offers 26 slopes and trails, 14 of which are lighted for night skiing. Longest run of 1.4 miles, which has an altitude 1003 meters. The combination of the ski resort about 23% beginner trails, 35% intermediate and 42% advanced / expert trails.
